Speciality Paper

When looking for inspiration I often turn to the Stampin' Up! catalog, it is jammed packed with ideas.  The catalog has a variety of Speciality Paper you can use to make your projects and gifts one of a kind.  Speciality Paper comes in some many colors, sizes, textures and material, I thought we would spend today talking about several of the speciality papers in the SU! catalog

There is no way I could do a better job talking about Windows Sheets than Stampin' Up! could so I will let them introduce you to the wonder world of Window Sheets

It doesn't sent with window sheets, SU also has vellum which I know can be a little scary to some, myself included, but I think it adds a layer of sophistication to things, especially wedding invitations and birth announcement that is second to none!  If you aren't making invitations you can always use it to emboss an image on the front, then color with Stampin’ Write markers or Watercolor Wonder Crayons from the back for a muted, stained-glass look. Vellum adds a touch of elegance to your stamped projects.

And last by not least is the Texture Cut Wood Sheets, These sheets of ultra-thin birch add a refreshing and unusual texture to your projects. They're made of real wood that's thin enough to cut with the Big Shot or our Craft & Rubber scissors.  They can be stamped and heat embossed too, think of the possibilities!

Can't wait to see the amazing projects you create with all of our Speciality Papers and other Stampin' Up! products.

Ronald McDonald House Charities

Stampin' Up! has a statement of the heart which is something I think about often....
"To love what we do and share what we love, as we help others enjoy creativity and worthwhile accomplishments in this we make a difference."
What I think is so special about this statement is I am not the only person connected to Stampin' Up! that thinks about it often; I think it is in the forefront of the home office teams mind all the time, especially when making decisions that will affect demonstrators and customers alike.  This statement also refects the commitment Stampin' Up! has to making a difference in people's lives either on an individual level or on a much larger scale.  Every year Stampin' Up! designs an exclusive stamp set to help raise money fo Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC).

Stampin' Up! will donate $2 from the purchase of every Very Thankful stamp set to RMHC.  When you purchase this stamp set you are living the statement of the heart....sharing what you love and making a difference.  It really is that easy!!

Looking forward to seeing what you create with this stamp set or any other Stampin' Up! product

Queen for a Day

I whole heartedly believe every woman is the queen of her castle and deserves to be treated that way. However, I also know this is American in the year 2009 and very few can live the life of royalty. That is what makes this stamp set so much fun; we can all pretend to be royalty at least for a little while.
The set is called Card Games and I know that doesn't start with the letter "Q" but ones of the stamps says "Queen of everything" and as we all know, queen starts with Q.  All of the details fo the card can be found here.

Can't wait to see what you create with this fun stamp set or any others from Stampin' Up!

Oval All

Every once in a while a stamp set is introduced in a mini catalog that makes it into the Stampin' Up! catalog and "oval all" is one of them.  As a matter of fact it is part of Shelli's Signature Collection, which means Stampin' Up! cofounder and CEO Shelli Gardner loves this stamp set because it reflects her personal style or helps to make creativity more simple and fun.

One of the great things about this set is coordinates perfectly with the super cool
Scallop Oval Punch.

Note to Self

I don't know about you, but I am always writing notes to myself, most of the time it is more like a to-do list but it is a note none the less. Often times I am writing on whatever I can find or what happens to be close by when the thought I am trying not to forget comes running through my head. Rarely do I write it on something cute or decorative. All of that is going to change beause of the "Note to Self" stamp set in the Holiday Mini......
This set is a must have to be able to decorate and embellish the new calendar kit from Stampin Up!

Can't wait to see what you create with this stamp set or any of the others in the holiday mini.

Marriage.....

Love and Marriage, Love and Marriage, go together like a horse and carriage.  (is that song stuck in your head now?)

Weddings are like snowflakes, no two are the same, each of them have their own special, personal touch that makes it unique.  If you want your wedding to be as unique and special as you are, then you need to have Bride Speciality Paper in your life.
You can use this gorgeous paper to design and create your personal wedding invitations, RSVP cards, party favors, place cards, thank-you cards, and more. Or you can take some of the stress away from your big day by having me do all of the work for you.

While we know the wedding is really all about the bride, it wouldn't be possible if there wasn't a Groom too!

This is the perfect compliment to the Bride paper, again ideal for personal wedding invitations, RSVP cards, party favors, place cards, thank-you cards, and more!

Who keeps the Bride sane when the Groom is driving her crazy? The Bridesmaides of course!

All three styles are card stock with foil accents: damask on one side, pinstripe on the other side.  Bride is Whisper White, Groom is Basic Black and Bridesmaid is Very Vanilla.

A Kind Word

In every Stampin' Up! Catalog there are stamp sets that amaze me, ones that I look at and think "WOW"  this catalog is no different.
A Kind Word is one of those stamp sets that takes me back to when I was younger.  Makes me think about those summers spent by the lake, running around barefoot and enjoying everybit of sunshine.  Think of the special gifts you can create for all the bight-eyed little girls (or young at heart women) in your life!

Favors for a wedding

Although Favor starts with the letter "F" this isn't part of the catalog tour, I will be back tomorrow with something else that starts with the letter "F", until then, check out this post about wedding favors and programs.

I had so much fun working on the programs and favors for a friend's upcoming wedding. I used Taken with Teal card stock and ink, along with Great Friend stamp set, the Matchbox die for my BigShot and the Stampin' Up! Backgrounds 1 Texturz plate and of course Dazzling Diamonds to come up with this adorable little favor.....
The programs were made with Taken with Teal card stock too, I got the idea for this layout from a card my sister received in the mail from her BFF.  I started with a 8x8 piece of cardstock, scored on the diagonal to create a 5x5 square in the middle of the paper.
I printed the wedding info on a piece of card stock and made copies of it (much cheaper then using my printer for 100 copies) then I cut the pages to 4.75x4.75 and connected them with the easiest bow in the world. You thread the ribbon through holes then cris-cross them and bring them back through the holes, super easy and super cute!!
I hope the bride and her guests enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them.
